Study Permit Visa for Canada

Study Permits

Study permits are for the foreign nationals who wish to Study in Canada in an Canadian Educational Institution. Initially, the applicant needs to be accepted by a designated educational institution in Canada, to become eligible for this Canada study visa. It is very important to have the programs or courses you wish to study matching with your previous education. Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) looks into the profiles of the students to cross verify whether there is any match with past education or not.

It is also very important to prove to the IRCC about your financial strength to support yourself during the duration of studies and also pay all the education fees on your own. A proof of financial support from your parents would be sufficient for IRCC to convince that you have required financial support for the studies. If the applicant is a minor, it should be proved to the IRCC that proper arrangements are made for his/her care. IRCC also wants to see if the minor has proper links with home country and he/she may return back to home country once after education is completed.

If you are looking to work during studies or after your studies, it is recommended to check whether your applying institution supports it or not. This checking needs to be done well in advance, so that you can have a proper plan beforehand while applying for Study permits and visas.
